An Exploration of Branding, Design and Cultural Trends

Wandering through Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO and Carrol Gardens

My two friends and I had an absolutely love walk through Brooklyn. We started off in Brooklyn Heights, then got pizza at Grimaldi's, then hot chocolate at Jacque Torres. And promptly each gained 5 pounds. We stumbled on a fantastic furniture store in Brooklyn Heights/ Atlantic Avenue with beautiful, handmade, rosewood pieces. Then walked on to Carrol Gardens where we found the perfect home goods store filled with flatware patterns that we envied. Definitely want to move to Brooklyn if my sweet East Village deal runs out.

On the way home, my friend and I were walking on Lafayette when we heard a loud "Pop!" And looked over to see a sad, lifeless pigeon. My friend says it perfectly "That was def a nice walk but very traumatizing to hear the bird pop like a plastic bag as a cabbie destroyed his life right before our eyes."

Interesting to see people's reactions to that. I guess not all New Yorkers are jaded.
