Molly is natural researcher and writer. She has a knack for uncovering digital and cultural insights which were very helpful for our team. She’s a pleasure to work with and I would jump at the opportunity to work with her again.
Molly proved to be a vital resource to both the new biz and strategy group at JWT NY. A natural born investigator, she left no stone unturned in her quest to help unearth insight in the areas of brand DNA, audience, culture and competitive. Hugely diligent and a very hard worker. I highly endorse Molly as a value add to any project.
Molly is a driven, curious, and collaborative strategist with the patience and focus to separate insights from mere information. Plus, she’s a nice person!
Molly is a passionate, eager and hard-working member of the team. She is ready to tackle any task given to her, and proactively seeks ways to further engage in the business at hand to drive next steps forward. Whether taking to the streets to perform live on-the-fly “focus groups”, pulling together research for global brand snapshots, or supporting strategists on new business pitches, Molly contributes a massive appetite for unearthing insights on brands and consumers alike. This came into play in our recent new business pitches for Google and PUMA (both wins). Molly takes direction well and is resourceful even when given minimal guidance. It is refreshing to work with someone who brings dimension to research; Molly’s scrappy entrepreneurial spirit and writing & photography talent add that very texture.
Great writer. Finger on the pulse of the culture. Creative, inventive and fun. That’s Molly Aaker.
Molly Aaker has worked with Ubuntu Africa as a social media strategist and planner, assisting with our social media strategy, implementation, and analytics. She has been a tremendous addition to our team, bringing insight, focus, creativity and a level of professionalism that has impressed all who interact with her. Our organization came to her with specific goals; to thoughtfully develop the volume and sophistication of Ubuntu Africa’s social media efforts, develop an over-arching strategy to guide our work, and ultimately increase our base of supporters. Molly helped us to reflect and re-focus on the big picture as well as re-define our targets before moving forward. We now have a thoughtful model for social media engagement, a plan for reflection and adaptation as we test and grow or work. In addition to being a strategic asset and thought partner, Molly exhibits a level of professionalism, motivation, and organization that makes her a joy to work with. She is mature, thoughtful, and fully present in all that she does. We hope to work with Molly again in the future and recommend her to others without equivocation.
A key role of account planning in my opinion is to inspire and often the key ingredient of inspiration is sourced from outside the four walls of one’s office. The challenge our industry constantly contends with is that there’s no line item in fee negotiations for sourcing that inspiration; allocating time to the serendipitous moments of discovery that happen in walks, visits and meandering through digital landscapes. I’ve had two opportunities to work with Molly Aaker. Both pitches for brands in very different categories. Molly was a brilliant partner. She’s driven by questions that ask ”what if?” rather than just “why?” making her a very creative thinker and a refreshing asset to planners and creatives. Her biggest gift is the flow of inspiration she brings into the space. She’s driven by curiosity that’s way broader than simply the industry she exists in. She’s able to connect disparate pieces of information and bring a new perspective to a challenge. I highly recommend Molly to any agency that’s thirsting for new inspiration. Whether a muse to creative teams or a partner to planners, Molly is an asset that makes the work better and heightens the chances of winning that all important pitch. Hire her
I had the pleasure of bringing Molly on to help out with some heavy-lifiting on social strategy for a major CPG client. She brought such unique perspective and deep curiosity about al things social, digital and emerging. She produced high-quality work and I would definitely work with her again
